- The Icmeler Turkish Bath brings you to a traditional hammam where the treatment sequence follows the Ottoman bathing ritual that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. You enter a marble-lined steam room where the heat opens the skin and prepares it for treatment. A professional masseur then works through the standard sequence — full-body exfoliation with a kese (rough scrubbing mitt), a foam massage that covers the whole body, and a final oil massage.
- The oil massage is the part most people remember. Done properly, it works out muscular tension in a way that a foam massage does not manage on its own. The 15-minute duration is shorter than a standalone massage but effective as the final stage of a three-part sequence. By the time you leave, most people feel cleaner and more relaxed than they have all holiday.
- What makes this different from a hotel spa treatment is the environment. You are in a building with marble walls that have absorbed heat for years, shared with other guests and a staff that takes the craft seriously. The towels and slippers are provided, and the facility is designed for this specific purpose rather than adapted from something else.
